About
Laurel Arnold is a central New York based Set Designer and Scenic Artist with a BFA in Theatrical Design and Production from the University of Florida. She is currently Lead Scenic Artist at Syracuse Stage, while continuing to freelance as a Set Designer and painter.
Laurel has worked as a Scenic Charge Artist for Virginia Theatre Festival and Shenandoah Summer Music Theatre, and as a Scenic Artist for Barrington Stage Company.
Her Scenic Design for Blood at the Root was featured as a Main-stage production in the Constans Theatre, and Laurel has served as a Props Manager, Scenic Artist and Assistant Scenic Designer on a number of productions at the University of Florida.
Additionally, Laurel is passionate about community and education, and she believes it is critical to make theatre a more equitable environment. In her free time Laurel enjoys hiking and birding, as well as getting involved in local drawing groups and book clubs.
